Intro: Not down in any map
Searching for signal out loud
👋 Hey, I’m Gaurav (gawr-uhv). I’m a reformed academic turned startup founder turned healthcare executive.
What are we doing here?
I want to write again. It’s been a while. Writing is thinking, and thinking out loud keeps me honest.
At first I thought I’d write about things I’ve learned in my career, but the internet is full of “look what I know” slop. I don’t want to add to that. I want a space to explore questions that don’t have quick or clear solutions. Questions with answers that aren’t down in any map, so to speak.
Why now?
Knowledge is more accessible than ever, but consensus has never been harder to build. And new tools are making it easier to think less, sand away the friction.
I’m scared of a world where we forget how to think rigorously, to failure. Where we get worse at making sense of competing ideas, disagree without division, build things together. Consensus is a precursor to progress.
Writing is my way of building a thinking practice.
